Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy In 1989, motivated by citizen outcry to a proposed golf course, townhouse, condominium, and convention center complex, the Williams Bay Board of Trustees purchased this site for preservation and established the Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy. It realized that this area is the largest intact wetland remaining in the watershed of Geneva Lake and needed to be protected, preserved, and enhanced.
